Frequently asked questions
- Is FlyWise free?
- You can start with the core features for free. We also plan to offer paid plans for more features; please check the in-app information for details.
- Which devices or varios are supported?
- Any variometer or tracking app that can export a standard IGC file works. Examples: Flymaster, Skytraxx, Syride, XCTracer, XCTrack, FlySkyHy, and more.
- What file format can I upload?
- Upload FAI-standard IGC (.igc) files. On upload, takeoff/landing, airtime, track, and altitude are computed automatically.
- Do you support hang gliders?
- Yes. Both paragliders and hang gliders are supported, and you can register and manage equipment for each.
- Is my flight data stored safely?
- Uploaded flight data is stored securely and handled according to our Privacy Policy. You can request to view or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time.
- What happens to my data if I delete my account?
- When you close your account, your personal information and flight data are deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. See the Privacy Policy for retention and disposal details.
- Can I re-download the original IGC file I uploaded?
- Yes. Your uploaded IGC originals are stored safely and can be downloaded again from the flight detail screen.
- Can I also enter flights manually?
- Automatic logging via IGC upload is the default, but you can fill in or edit details like notes, wing, and location directly on the flight detail screen.
