Ziad Bassil's Gear Reviews

The Base 2's strength is sharply drawn. It holds a very calm feel all the way through, yet in glide it stands on the same line as the class-leading Rook 3. Not trading comfort away for performance is what gives this wing its worth. That performance does come with a condition. To draw out its full efficiency you'll want to load it near maximum all-up weight. A seasoned pilot after sharper behaviour will look elsewhere, but that minority isn't who the Base 2 is aimed at. Bassil reckons around 90% of high-B pilots will be happy on this wing — it's built for exactly that majority who want a single card that's easy to handle yet gives nothing away on performance.
