That last line reads like praise, but it is in fact an exact summary of the wing's character. It concedes a hand's width of climb and a hand's width of glide to the Swift 5, and what remains in return is 2 km/h at trim and a sharper turn. Judge on performance figures alone and the Riot S loses. Judge on the feel you'll be holding all day and the story changes. So the choice is simple. For the XC pilot who wins on maximum glide, the Swift 5 is the honest answer. For the pilot who wants light weight, quick cruise and a wing that likes to be turned — all at once — the Riot S gives back more than it takes.
