Flow Cosmos (S) — The Mid-B Whose Thick Lines Tell You Everything

What the Cosmos does well is easy to name. It launches quietly, it doesn't chatter more than necessary in turbulence, and in a thermal it climbs close to an Ion 5 XS. Internal pressure is high enough that big ears take a firm pull to go in, and induced collapses recover as mildly as an A's. This is a wing that buys the pilot time to think. The cost is glide, where it gives a little away to the Ion 5 — and the fact that the cause is the thick lines explains the whole character of the wing. Flow traded a few percent of performance for lifespan and price. For a pilot who wants to match the glide of the competition, that is not an answer. For a pilot looking for a wing that will fly several seasons without going soft, at a sensible price, the thick lines aren't a flaw. They're the reason.
