FLOW Freedom 2 Light — A Lightweight High-B That Wins on the Climb
The Freedom 2 Light is calmer and tauter in its behaviour than the standard-cloth version. Its ability to keep the wing parked overhead on C steering matches the good B's too. The big ears are stable, and they reopen smoothly and evenly with no pilot input. Wingovers store a fair amount of energy, which, depending on the hands flying it, can become a weakness. Boil this wing down to one word and it comes to the climb. It isn't a High-B that leads with speed; it's a glider that keeps you pinned to cloudbase on lift and the glide to match. If you need a faster trim there are other options, but for the pilot who wants an easy launch off a tight strip and to squeeze a thermal to the last drop, a companion like this is hard to find.
