Ziad Bassil's Gear Reviews

The Ikuma 3's strengths are clear. The turn locks in instantly on a short brake input, and the way it hovers and holds in weak lift is a real pleasure for pilots who enjoy handling. But that pleasure means something only when there's a hand to read the wing. Where the Swift 6 goes dull at mid weights, the Ikuma 3 stays alive to the end, and that liveliness becomes a burden if you handle it roughly, a reward if you handle it precisely. This isn't a wing that overwhelms you on paper. It's a wing that gives the finesse of your control hand straight back to you as enjoyment. It suits the pilot who finds satisfaction in a single turn better than the one chasing glide numbers.
