SWING Arcus RS (S) — Collapses Like an A, Glides Like a mid-B

What this wing gives a pilot is less about glide than about the seconds after a collapse. A large asymmetric that doesn't change your heading means the wing does not punish your mistakes. The decision to push into the core on a strong day gets cheaper, and enough of those decisions add up to XC distance. Even the claim that its glide belongs with the best mid-Bs only holds because this stability is underneath it. That comfort comes with a condition, though. Bassil is explicit about flying it above 70% of the weight range: lightly loaded, the Arcus RS loses the solidity that made it track on rails through turbulence. This isn't an easy wing you can afford to fly light — it's a wing that only becomes easy once you load it properly.
