PHI Allegro M — An Agile EN-C Built on a Low Aspect Ratio
What makes the Allegro interesting is that it inverts the usual design math. Lowering the aspect ratio normally means giving up glide, yet this wing holds onto Cure 2-class glide while banking handling and brake authority in return. It's a rare balance — a wing that refuses to pick just one side of the performance-versus-manageability trade. That doesn't make it an "easy C," though. An EN-C is still a C, and the Allegro's strength isn't a beginner's safety margin but feedback that comes straight back to your fingertips. It's closer to an uncommon on-ramp: a way for a pilot who has thoroughly learned the Maestro to step into C-class performance without being intimidated by an aspect-ratio number.
