Swing Helios — C-Class Feel at a Mid-B Doorstep

The Helios's strength is clear. It gives you the glide and the flying feel of a C outright, while keeping launch, brakes and behaviour in rough air as forgiving as a class below. For a pilot who has graduated from high-B and is weighing the next wing, a C with this little barrier to entry is rare. Of course, that generosity doesn't mean it does everything. An aspect ratio of 6 is still a C skeleton, so it doesn't float unusually well in light air, and the glide sits in the front half of the class rather than at its very top.
