Ziad Bassil's Gear Reviews

Choosing a lightweight harness usually means bracing to give up comfort and composure as the price of low weight. The Arrow-P makes that resignation look misplaced. At around 1.7kg it draws out both a pressure-free, hammock-like fit and a moderate roll behaviour, and with two protection options — foam and inflatable — it hands the comfort-versus-volume trade back to the pilot to weigh for themselves. But the lightness comes with a clear footnote. Woven from delicate fabrics and special carabiners, it isn't recommended for acro, and rough environments demand extra care. So the Arrow-P is less an easy harness for anyone than one for the pilot who knows how to handle lightweight gear — and who, in return for that discipline, gets couch-like comfort back.
